IDF snipers targeting children, said American doctor volunteering in Gaza
And that’s just one of many stories of evil being perpetrated by Israeli soldiers
Below is a partial transcript of a recent interview Dr. Mark Perlmutter gave to Tracy Smith of CBS News regarding what he saw in Gaza as Israel’s assault on Palestinians continues. Perlmutter is a North Carolinian and orthopedic surgeon who volunteered in Gaza in April and May of this year.
Perlmutter: All of the disasters I've seen, combined, combined; 40 mission trips, 30 years, Ground Zero, earthquakes; all of that combined doesn't equal the level of carnage that I saw against civilians in just my first week in Gaza.
Smith: And when you say civilians, is it mostly children?
Perlmutter: Almost exclusively children. I’ve never seen that before…. And then there’s sniper bullets. I have children that were shot twice.
Smith: Wait, you're saying that children in Gaza are being shot by snipers?
Perlmutter: Definitively. I have two children that I have photographs of that were shot so perfectly in the chest, I couldn't put my stethoscope over their heart more accurately, and directly on the side of the head, in the same child. No toddler gets shot twice by mistake by the 'world's best sniper.' And they're dead-center shots.
Perlmutter said what he witness was Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) intentionally targeting children. He added:
“I've seen more incinerated children than I've ever seen in my entire life, combined. I've seen more shredded children in just the first week … missing body parts, being crushed by buildings, the greatest majority, or bomb explosions, the next greatest majority. We've taken shrapnel as big as my thumb out of eight-year-olds.”
Over 20 doctors spoke to CBS News which reported:
“One American doctor told us he even reviewed CT scans to confirm what he saw because he ‘didn't believe that this many children could be admitted to a single hospital with gunshot wounds to the head.’ Some shootings have been captured on video.
The Israel Defense Forces declined our requests for an on-camera interview. But in an email, a spokesperson told CBS News, ‘The IDF has never, and will never, deliberately target children,’ adding, ‘Remaining in an active combat zone has inherent risks.’ And the IDF stressed that it calls for the evacuation of civilians from combat zones….
Dr. Zena Saleh said, ‘We didn't even have hand sanitizer or alcohol or soap most of the time.’
‘While we're there, we're listening to, you know, 'Aid is getting in. We're taking care of civilians. They're not being targeted,’’ said Dr. Adam Hamawy. ‘And yet, we're witnessing a completely different story.’
Some medical professionals who spoke to ‘Sunday Morning’ requested their identities be kept private, as some plan to return again to Gaza. A Virginia-based doctor told us, ‘We all see gunshots in the U.S., but we have never seen anything like the gunshots to kids in Gaza.’ Another Virginia-based anesthesiologist told CBS News that, over his two weeks in Gaza, he saw single gunshot wounds to kids on a daily basis (he guessed at least 30 total).
One Chicago-based doctor told us, ‘I thought these kids were in the wrong place at the wrong time, like sadly, some of the kids we treat in Chicago. But after the third or fourth time, I realized it was intentional; bullets were being put in these kids on purpose.’”
An IDF whistleblower has confirmed that the IDF is targeting civilians.
The whistleblower said:
“Yeah, this is something that I'm going to carry the rest of my life, obviously. And the way I look at it, my way of redeeming myself is to do anything I can to make justice and peace in this area….
There are literally people going around in Israel killing innocent civilians right all around. And this is something that needs to be stopped. And I'm needed partly to do that as well.”
That’s just a small sampling of the horrific stories of evil that have come out. One that Western media largely ignored was that of Hind Rajab (pictured below), a 6-year-old Palestinian girl killed by the IDF in early February.
According to France 24, Hind’s family was attempting to flee Gaza City as the IDF put on a full-force assault. Several family members got trapped in a car that came under fire by the IDF.
Ultimately, Hinds family members were each killed with her and her older sister left when they called Red Crescent rescue workers. Eventually, her sister was killed and only Hind was left. She had her own call with the Red Crecent begging for help. This all occurred over two weeks.
Eventually, the Red Crecent showed up to help. The IDF targeted the ambulance then killed Hind.
Scott Ritter said of the story:
“There's a tape right now of the six-year-old girl on the phone to the rescuer…. I mean, she's a very young girl, and she's scared. She's in the car with their dead parents, her dead uncle and aunt, dead cousins. And she's begging for them to come and get her. ‘Please come. I'm scared. It's getting dark.’…
Listen to that, and if you're a father, if you're an uncle, if you're somebody who has a niece of that age. Imagine that being her. Imagine it being your daughter calling someone begging for help, ‘Please come and get me.’
She hasn't done anything wrong. But the Israelis used her as bait. They used her as bait. They set this up. They were monitoring this phone call. They allowed the Palestinian medics to come in. They gave them the route. The medics got within 50 meters of this girl, they saw her in the car and then they killed them. The Israelis killed them and then they killed her. They set them up.
If you see that and you don't cry, if you see that and you don't understand how evil the Israelis are right now… listen to the voice of this girl. She's on the phone, ‘The tank is in front of me. The tank is coming to me. The tank is very, very close. I'm scared.’ And then the tank killed her.”

Remember, this is being done with our money and our weapons.
