2023: A Year of Continued Decline
The trend of authoritarianism in the 2020s continued this year
“The government failed to protect our lives, liberty and happiness…. The president became more imperial…. The cost of endless wars drove the nation deeper into debt…. The courts failed to uphold justice…. The Surveillance State rendered Americans vulnerable to threats from government spies, police, hackers and power failures…. Mass shootings claimed more lives…. The rich got richer, and the poor went to jail…. ‘Show your papers’ incidents skyrocketed…. Free speech was dealt one knock-out punch after another…. Police became even more militarized and weaponized…. Schools turned into prisons…. The government waged a renewed war on private property…. The plight of the nation’s homeless worsened…. The government waged war on military veterans…. The Deep State took over…. The takeaway: Everything the founders of this country feared has come to dominate in modern America.”—John Whitehead
“Power that is secularized and cut free of civilizing traditions is not limited by moral and religious scruples. V.I. Lenin made this clear when he defined the meaning of his dictatorship as ‘unlimited power, resting directly on force, not limited by anything.’
Washington’s drive for hegemony over US citizens and the rest of the world is based entirely on the exercise of force and is resurrecting unaccountable power….
As we enter into 2024, Western civilization, the product of thousands of years of striving, is in decline. Degeneracy is everywhere before our eyes. As the West sinks into tyranny and degeneracy, will Western peoples defend their liberty and their souls, or will they sink into the tyranny, which again has raised its ugly and all devouring head?”—Paul Craig Roberts
The 1920s were called “The Roaring Twenties.”
Jim Davidson proposed “The Twisted Twenties” for the 2020s which kicked off with the “complete psychosis of the plandemic/scamdemic” followed by new absurdities years after year. He wrote that “the decade of the Twenty-Twenties are already pretty twisted. The Twisted Twenty-Twenties. See how that alliteration sings!”
Fair suggestion. We could go some other ways. Maybe simply “The Terrible Twenties.” Maybe “The Titanic Twenties” considering the various icebergs of economic collapse, societal collapse, moral collapse, globalist takeovers, etc. that nobody seems to notice. Maybe “The Twisted Terrible Titanic Twenties.”
Regardless, it’s been a terrible decade. We started with the big “virus” lie in 2020 as medical tyranny took power. We saw death rates rise as the experimental gene therapy covid bioweapon jabs were introduced in 2021. In 2022, we saw the first attempt by the globalists to spark World War III as America’s years of meddling abroad pushed Russia to a breaking point while the West pledged unanimous support for Nazis in Ukraine. And 2023 saw a new battle front, Israel-Gaza, for the WWIII scheme while the decades, really century-long, economic crisis of fiat currency (fake money) has started to become more transparent.
It’s been a decade of manufactured crisis after manufactured crisis year after year by power hungry governments and corporations. Each year, a new manufactured crisis to advance the agenda.
The difference in this decade, from my humble perspective, is the last year’s manufactured crisis doesn’t go away. They just continue and just add more to the table the next year.
Take the first manufactured crisis of the decade, the covid lie. We continue to live with this scam today. We’re witnessing the return of mask and vax mandates and new fears being spread of brand new boogey man “viruses,” of course blamed on China, to further spread fear so the entitled, weak American will continue surrendering their rights and liberties.

So, let’s take a look back at some of 2023 and understand things don’t portend well for 2024 until we’re ready to stand up to the tyrants.
“The ominous trends that we see all around us are taking us somewhere. Needless to say, 2023 was not a good year for our country. Hunger and homelessness have been absolutely exploding, the suicide rate just continues to go even higher, and there is chaos in the streets on an almost nightly basis. It is in this environment that the election of 2024 will happen. I expect election season to add an additional level of strain to our society, and I don’t think that our society will be able to handle it. We are headed for a nightmare, and at this point everyone should be able to see that.
When conditions deteriorate, it is often those at the bottom of the economic food chain that feel it first.”—Michael Snyder
The Emperor is Naked
This year was a year of deceptions and distractions from fake Chinese “spy balloon” stories to UFO lunatics and more. All of this serves a purpose for the globalists who wage a depopulation campaign through “false flag” created wars to so-called “pandemics” created by them to get people to submit to their poisonous “treatments.”

Additionally, there have been “wildfires” with strange circumstances surrounding them and train derailments with strange coincidences.

War, at least here at the end of the year, has been a major part of 2023.
Strategic-Culture called 2023 an “inflexion point” thanks to the American war machine continuing the charade of backing Ukraine to offering full support of Israel’s while ignoring its genocide of Palestinians.
“It was the year that the entire world saw the truly hideous and criminal nature of U.S. power.
Washington’s fueling of the futile conflict in Ukraine and the despicable slaughter in Gaza is a wake-up call for the entire world. The United States stands barefaced and grotesque as the primary purveyor of war. There can be no doubt about that. For many it is shocking, scandalous and frightening.
Tragically, it seems, for the world, every year’s end is an occasion to witness and lament conflicts, wars and suffering over the preceding 12 months. Often the causes of wars and suffering are seemingly unfathomable.
However, this year seems to be unique. The year ends with a horrendous massacre in Gaza that is unprecedented and perpetrated by Israel with the full support of the United States. The scale of deliberate mass killing in Gaza makes it a genocide. The fact that this abomination is occurring at Christmas time when the world is supposed to celebrate the divine birth of Jesus Christ – the Prince of Peace – in the very place where he was born some 2,000 years ago makes the abomination all the more profane and damning.
What is particularly wretched is that the heinous destruction of children is happening in full view of the world. There is no remorse or pretense. It is full-blown premeditated murder done with cruelty and sickening impunity….
U.S. imperial power is damned. There’s no going back or reform. The capitalist economic system – evolved as oligarchic fascism and its two-party puppet show – driving imperialist barbarism must be called out and overturned. Biden is doomed, and Trump and so on are just more false prophets.
Seeing the naked truth is usually the first step before we can go on to realize the truth of beauty and decency. We might hope – for the sake of peace and ending much of the suffering – that the world is taking that first step.”
The racket called war is controlled by bankers, government bureaucrats and politicians and corporations that profit off bloodshed. And the Military Industrial Complex in the form of “defense” contractors are doing quite well in our bankrupt society, even while we the people suffer. And the lies are so transparent, such as the Pentagon blaming a “strong economy” for the reason military recruiting is suffering.

And the mainstream narrative media pimps for all of these wars and has been fully exposed as corrupt and controlled.
“American militarism has many authors. From lawmakers on Capitol Hill and policy makers in the executive branch to the defense industry and its army of lobbyists, many in Washington and beyond have an interest, whether political or financial (or both), in keeping the Pentagon’s coffers overstuffed and the global U.S. military machine humming.
Unfortunately, America’s fourth estate doesn’t do a very good job of keeping an overly militaristic U.S. foreign policy in check. On the contrary, it too is a key pillar that buttresses America’s dependence on aggression abroad. Looking back at much of the mainstream media’s national security coverage this past year — from Ukraine and Gaza to China and the military industrial complex — 2023, with few exceptions, was no different.”
Of course, the obvious wars that grab media attention, Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Gaza, only shows a small snapshot of the multiple, multiple fronts that the American war machine is engaged in toppling regimes in the name of “democracy” as their bloodthirst shows no bounds.
The Biden regime is now using Israel-Gaza as an excuse to expand the bloodshed to Iraq, Syria and more. And the former regime, under Donald Trump, admitted all of this is for oil.
“And so now, unsurprisingly, this war is escalating because this bloodthirsty, greedy country cannot stop meddling in everyone else’s business; where is war is peace, and the innocent and those in self-defense are the terrorists, and the criminals and butcherers are ‘freedom fighters.’ But don’t worry, the murderous thief Lloyd Austin, the guy who once sat on the Board of Directors for Raytheon, the second largest U.S. defense contractor, sends his ‘prayers.’ Just evil.
He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears. Proverbs 26:17
And of course, these liars and war whores still persist in pushing the narrative that Iran is the new boogieman. Obviously, a war with Iran is coming in short order, in my view, and the U.S. will make up any false pretense to start one; the likely of which is probably a ‘cyber attack’ of sorts.”
All of this is funded and made possible by the Federal Reserve that not only funds massacres by the war machine but also destroys our liberty and economy at home.
“Unfortunately, the US central bank, the Fed, has a gigantic amount of influence over the markets. They can employ ‘quantitative easing,’ which means printing money—and ‘quantitative tightening,’ which means decreasing the money and artificially raising interest rates.
They have many hundreds of Ph.D. economists on staff, but all these people operate on phony Keynesian theories of the way the world works. The consequences of building an economic system on a foundation of paper money and gigantic amounts of debt are potentially catastrophic.
At this point, the economy’s on the razor edge. If they push the print button and hold it down too long, we could go into a runaway inflation. Or, to tamp down inflation, they might raise interest rates and contract the money supply, which might set off a 1929-style credit collapse.
We’re caught between Scylla and Charybdis at this point. And I don’t believe it’s a question of a soft landing or a hard landing. It’s a question of how devastating the crash landing will be.
I hope they can wring one more cycle out of all this because I personally prefer good times to bad times, even if they’re artificial good times, because the bad times are going to be very real.”
A Weak American Church Exposed
As the American warmongering, bankrupt government has been exposed as naked this year, so has the American Corporate Church.
This year saw the First Amendment being attacked on many levels, Christians simply speaking truth bearing the brunt of it being arrested or fired as the so-called “churches” remained silent or participated in the attacks.

“Since I have been a Christian, I cannot tell you the volume of experiences in which I have dealt with the absolute biblical illiteracies of the professors both inside and outside the church walls. Many things that have been said from the pulpit that have absolutely no biblical relevance or backing whatsoever are without number and have been parroted by these children of apostates.
Since I have been a Christian, I cannot tell you the volume of experiences in which I have dealt with the absolute biblical illiteracies of the professors both inside and outside the church walls. Many things that have been said from the pulpit that have absolutely no biblical relevance or backing whatsoever are without number and have been parroted by these children of apostates.
I have heard the apostates, with a bewildered and uncertain guessing smile (In hopes that you agree with them) upon their faces, that they cannot wait until the Lord Jesus comes back.
They parrot ‘Come Lord Jesus,’ as if it is a day in which man will rejoice. No, just the opposite. The Scripture makes clear in this matter that it is a day of darkness and not light.”
“Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?” -Amos 5:18-20
And many of these American Corporate Churches are looking for political saviors while they ignore the only Savior Jesus Christ.
On the politician front, 2023 exposed how useless they are.
I’ll note that making fun of politicians is a tried-and-true tradition in America. Here are a few good ones from Mark Twain:
“Politicians, old buildings, and prostitutes become respectable with age.”
“I saw a startling sight today, a politician with his hands in his own pockets.”
“An honest politician is an oxymoron.”
“Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself.”
“All Congresses and Parliaments have a kindly feeling for idiots, and a compassion for them, on account of personal experience and heredity.”
However, the crop of politicians in 2023, both “left” and “right,” are so transparently out for their own selfish ambitions more so, I think, than ever in my lifetime. There are no statesmen.
“In the current unrestricted war by globalists seeking to dismantle human civilization, there may be no indispensable men at this time. Or at least none has arisen. I’d have to imagine if (George) Washington were alive today, he’d have organized a sort of Continental Army by now, and we’d know who he is. Soldiers marched barefoot and bloody, at the tail end of the mini ice age, into the battle of Trenton. We aren’t seeing that type of courage yet. Although, there have been some heroic medical doctors that have resisted at great expense.
These twisted transhumanists are trying to tamper with the miracle of life and turn planet earth into the The Island of Dr. Moreau. Yet we are still in the stage where our politicians are pretending it isn’t going on. They act as if things are normal and the American and world population aren’t being targeted with bioweapons. I frequently point out that our politicians are cowardly, corrupt, or simply out of touch, for a reason.”
Seek God and Take Control of Your Life in 2024
“Folks, it’s time to break the cycle of abuses—cruel, brutal, immoral, unconstitutional and unacceptable—that have been heaped upon us by the government for way too long….
As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People and in its fictional counterpart The Erik Blair Diaries, if freedom is to survive at all, ‘we the people’ must refuse to allow the government’s abusive behavior to be our new normal.
There is nothing normal about egregious surveillance, roadside strip searches, police shootings of unarmed citizens, censorship, retaliatory arrests, the criminalization of lawful activities, warmongering, indefinite detentions, SWAT team raids, asset forfeiture, police brutality, profit-driven prisons, or pay-to-play politicians.
Let’s not take the mistakes, carnage, toxicity and abuse of this past year into 2024.
As long as we continue to allow callousness, cruelty, meanness, immorality, ignorance, hatred, intolerance, racism, militarism, materialism, meanness and injustice—magnified by an echo chamber of nasty tweets and government-sanctioned brutality—to trump justice, fairness and equality, there can be no hope of prevailing against the police state.”—John Whitehead
Look, 2023 was yet another bad year. And 2024 looks to continue that trend.
But all of this can be reversed if we stand up and resist. Stop looking for political saviors. They never existed. Stop pointing the fingers at others. Start taking control of your own life. And turn to God. “With God all things are possible.”
