Ann Coulter says Republicans are being ‘slaughtered’ because of ‘pro-life zealots’
Poor choice of words Ann
In a recent appearance on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, conservative commentator Ann Coulter accused “pro-life zealots” for Republicans losing elections.
The comments came at the 9:15 mark in the video below:
Coulter said:
“Abortion is really hurting Republicans…. And guess what, fellow pro-lifers? We’re getting slaughtered.”
Hmm… Republicans are being slaughtered?
No Ann, babies are being slaughtered. Your precious GOP, they may lose some elections. They may lose some “power” or “influence.” But guess what Ann? You’re on this earth breathing. You get to live your life. Your precious Republican politicians, they’re walking on this earth. They’re also breathing. So, no Ann, Republicans aren’t being slaughtered. Babies are.
Coulter, who is wedded to the tyranny of the majority, went on to decry:
“There have been seven direct to the people votes. And the tiniest restriction on abortion loses overwhelmingly. In Montana, in Kentucky, states that Trump won by 20 points. And it isn’t Republicans per se, I think, pushing this. It is these pro-life zealots.”
The reason for that discussion was the recent reporting on Donald Trump’s comments who suggests a 16-week federal ban with exceptions for rape and incest that can be done apparently up to birth, according to Life Site News.
Trump is reported as saying:
“Know what I like, about 16. It’s even. It’s four months.”
Real sound legal, biological, philosophical and moral thinking, huh?
I like one of the comments on the Life Site News piece:
“If Donald Trump thinks that 16 weeks is a nice round number, I contend that 0 weeks is a much rounder number.”
Trump’s suggestion is ludicrous on many levels. First off, life begins at conception, not 16 weeks. Second, babies conceived in rape and incest are not criminals. They should not be punished for the crimes of their father.
But a big problem is that let’s just say Trump gets in and gets a 16-week ban put in place. Then a Democrat president follows him and gets all abortions approved. Then maybe a Republican returns and gets maybe a 20-week ban. Then a new president gets 30-week, another back to 16-week, another back to all abortions, and so on and so forth. Meanwhile, actual protection for our unborn neighbors is never approved.
The only federal approach on this should be to get legal recognition that life begins at conception, like the Life at Conception Act. There’s no new law, just recognition that the life in the womb is human and deserves the same protection under the laws of the states. And enforcement would be done under the local law enforcement under the laws already in the books.
But the desire for the approach backed by Trump and the GOP is because it’s good for them that abortions continue. Same for the “pro-life” industry. The issue is profitable. They don’t want to see it end.
And that’s another absurdity of Coulter’s accusation against the “pro-life” establishment. There are no “pro-life zealots” in politics today. I’ve written about the weak, spineless “pro-life” industry before:

The funny thing is I agree with Coulter at a certain level. The abortion issue has been a losing issue for the GOP. But it certainly isn’t because of “pro-life zealots.” It’s because nobody in the GOP has a spine. It’s because nobody in the GOP ever takes a principled stand. They’ve been busy acting like leftists wanting to regulate the abortion industry, not working to provide justice for the innocent babies slaughtered in their mothers’ wombs.
And the thing is, it’s not as much the GOP’s fault as it is the fault of the American Corporate Church that refuses to speak truth to the world and to the political class. The church has failed and continues to fail because they want to be loved by the world rather than follow God’s law.
Even if Coulter is completely right that “pro-life zealots” are to blame for GOP defeats, I’d ask what is more important. Is getting your precious GOP elected more important than standing for innocent babies? Do you care more about worldly political gain than being God’s light in this world?
God’s judgment of America is coming. And if you care more about getting Republicans elected than standing for the whole truth when it comes to abortion and standing for the legal protection of these innocent human lives, then you deserve God’s judgment as much as anyone.
Abortions Continue to Increase in America, and Worldwide
The “pro-life” industry continues to celebrate the end of Roe v. Wade. Of course, Roe v. Wade was a ridiculous opinion and should have been overturned. But there’s nothing to celebrate when the slaughter of our unborn neighbors continues in all 50 states. And a year after Roe v. Wade ended, the abortion rate in America rose.
“In June of this year I cited a Gallup poll that recorded that 69% of Americans supported abortion in some facet – so basically seven out of every ten – which was the highest percentage of support recorded by Gallup, following Roe Vs. Wade being struck down by the Supreme Court.
As I had said in that report, Americans love abortion: they love the killing of innocents and shedding the blood their very own children; and, if the Gallup poll is reporting near 70% support, then the real numbers are probably way up into the 90’s I reckon, as am I sure if you hypothetically cornered most Americans they’d reveal they are okay with some form of abortion.
But don’t worry everyone, there’s revival in this country: I know because the preacher secluded in his government-controlled phallic house told me there is! Of course I am being totally sarcastic.
It is studies and polls like this one and the other one I referenced that prove just how evil and wicked Americans are in their hearts.
The transgressions and shedding of innocent blood to this magnitude, on just this alone and not even including all the other atrocities this country commits, will not be forgotten and pardoned; and the fierce judgment from the Lord is rapidly soon approaching.”
And just to understand the scope of the holocaust that is abortion, 73 million babies are slaughtered worldwide each year.
“It is almost midnight, but at this stage most of the population doesn’t even care about the endless procession of babies that are having their lives snuffed out at our abortion mills. Terms such as ‘massacre’, ‘slaughter’ and ‘genocide’ are not nearly strong enough to describe what is taking place on a daily basis, and the vast majority of us seem to think that there will never be any serious consequences for what we are doing. But the truth is that we shall surely reap what we have sown.”
Just remember that the word “fetus” means “unborn child” from its Latin meaning. A child is a human life. Humans are created in the image of God. Murder is the unjust taking of a life. Abortion is the taking of a human life unjustly. Abortion is murder. And defending murder for the sake of winning political elections makes you complicit.
