Christian Arrested for Quoting Bible on Public Sidewalk at Pride Event in Pennsylvania
Literally, that’s what happened
A Christian man, identified as Damon Atkins, was arrested in Reading, PA over the weekend for attempting to quote the Bible on a public sidewalk across the street from a sodomite celebration, a flag raising ceremony at City Hall for the “Pride Flag.”
The arrest was made shortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 3. The arresting officer was Sgt. Bradley T. McClure, whom I will refer to as Fascist Pig from here on because that’s what he is.
Fascist Pig also commits perjury in the affidavit, which I will show later. Atkins was charged with “Disorderly Conduct Engage in Fighting.” At no point was there a fight, only fascists violating rights.
The arrest was caught on video by a YouTuber, who was identified as Matthew Wear by The Lancaster Patriot.
The video begins with Wear describing what he had seen so far while standing with fellow Christians across the street from the celebratory sodomites.
Wear says in the video that prior to him starting to record, he had preached the Gospel to the lost souls across the street for about 10 to 12 minutes. He preached “until a tyrant cop laid hands on me and threatened to arrest me if I continued,” Wear wrote in the video description.
About 1:45 into the video, Wear notices Fascist Pig coming over to talk to Atkins and saying, “It looks like this cop’s going to give him a hard time.”
It is hard to hear much of the initial conversation between Atkins, who was holding a sign that said “JESUS SAID GO AND SIN NO MORE,” and Fascist Pig, but it is made clear early that Atkins was on public property as he says, “This is public property,” to which Fascist Pig replies, “It is public property.”
Enough said. Atkins is clearly on public property and has the absolute First Amendment right to preach from there, and in fact, the pigs have no authority to even question him. But not so for Fascist Pig and the Reading Police Department RPD. By the way, RPD uses taxpayer funds to hire an “LGBTQ Liaison,” according to its contact page. (I encourage the public to reach out to their government and exercise their First Amendment right to redress grievances in a civil, but firm manner)
At one point, Fascist Pig says, “Let them have their day,” which Atkins responds, “This is public property.” Fascist Pig then says, “Ok, then respect it,” and Atkins eventually says: “You do you and I’m going to do me. This is public property.”
At that point, Fascist Pig walks away.
But, it took only a few seconds for Fascist Pig to show he has absolutely no respect for the Constitution and the rights of the people. Atkins gets out just four words, “God is not the…,” when Fascist Pig marches over saying, “That’s it, you’re done.”
Atkins was attempting to quote 1 Corinthians 14:33 with “God is not the author of confusion.”
As Atkins is being cuffed, roughed up, abused and molested by Fascist Pig and his fellow piglets, the sodomite crowd cheers. You can hear near the end of the video a sodomite speaker over the loud speakers saying: “We’re a community of love. So, when they get themselves in trouble with the police, we will clap.”
The hateful sodomite speaker goes on to hypocritically claim that “they celebrate diversity” when it’s clear they hate Christians.
As noted above, Fascist Pig perjured himself in the affidavit, which was obtained by The Lancaster Patriot.
Fascist Pig’s affidavit states:
“I was assigned to work a Community Event in the 800 block of Washington St. The event was a flag raising ceremony at City Hall for the beginning of Pride Month. This event was approved by the City and the organizers were issued a permit. There were a few protesters on location. I told them that they had to stay on the opposite side of the street and that they could not be disruptive.”
At approximately 10:05 another male, later identified as DAMON ATKINS, arrived as the location. He was carrying a sign with a slogan written on it that showed his opposition to the event. He began to yell to the people at the event. I immediately approached him and told him that, while he was free to stand on that side of the street and hold his sign, he could not cross the street nor yell comments intended to disrupt the event. ATKINS said he understood.
Less than a minute later he resumed yelling derogatory comments to the people at the event. Because I had already given him warning, I immediately told him he was being arrested for disorderly conduct. Officer (Courtney) Dupree and I handcuffed him escorted him away from the location to await transportation to Central Processing.”
I’ve put in bold a few specific comments in the affidavit worth noting. First on the clear perjury saying, “ATKINS said he understood.” Watch the video, Atkins never acknowledges any willingness to comply with unconstitutional orders from Fascist Pig. He literally says: “You do you and I’m going to do me. This is public property.”
Also, Fascist Pig claims he had “given him warning.” No warning of arrest was given, only unconstitutional orders. I’ll also note, Fascist Pig claims Atkins was “yelling” several times. This is subjective, but I wouldn’t call it yelling but rather boldly speaking. Regardless, he had the First Amendment right to yell across the street.
Then let’s look at the statement of “yelling derogatory comments.” Just think about that, that saying “God is not the author of confusion” is considered “derogatory” by Fascist Pig. To be more precise, “God is not the” because Fascist Pig pounced immediately as Atkins began to speak.
Then there’s the line from the first paragraph: “I told them that they had to stay on the opposite side of the street and that they could not be disruptive.”
The video never shows the Christians ever attempting to go to the other side of the street, but I want to make it clear that they had every right to if they wanted. The sodomites were also on public property. The Christians had every right to cross the street to attempt to have personal conversations with the sodomites if they wanted. The sodomites had the right to cross the street to the other side an engage with the Christians if they wanted. Fascist Pig had no authority to say one thing during this incident to free people on public property.
Atkins spoke to The Lancaster Patriot, in the piece linked above. He said:
“The main reason I was there was because of love because Jesus has taught me to love my neighbor as myself….
What is love? Is that love that your pastor tells you that you can be a homosexual and enter the kingdom of God? That’s not love….
Now in this country, ‘God’ is a derogatory term. That makes me sick to my stomach.”
The fact that Fascist Pig made it to the rank of sergeant in the RPD tells me that whole department is a disgrace. It’s also evidence that there are plenty of police departments that do need to be defunded.
But on the whole event, I want to ask a question again that I wrote over the weekend. Where are the churches? Where are the pastors? They are failing miserably.
Pride Month Part IV: Where are the pastors and Christian men?
“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way, and the perverse mouth I hate.”—Proverbs 8:13 In Part I, I wrote about how the celebration of sin during Pride Month is a reminder that our society is near collapse. In Part II
I hope you plan to sue the rpd and the cop personally on this one. That cop clearly needs to be fired. No one will be treated fairly if a cop is biased against a certain group of people. No matter who the group is especially as in this case they are not breaking any laws.
You don’t have to be a Christian to find this situation profoundly abhorrent. The exposure of this incident is important to wake us up. I saw the phrase today, from 1779, John Paul Jones, “We have not yet begun to fight!” What I think it says today is “We have not yet begun to figure it out.”
