India’s Anti-Christian PM given red carpet treatment by White House and Congress
Persecution of Christians in India has risen exponentially under Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi was given the red-carpet treatment last week as he visited America to meet with the Biden regime as well as speaking to a joint session of the U.S. Congress.
His speech to Congress delivered on Thursday:
This is despite Modi’s career record of encouraging abuse of all non-Hindus, especially Christians in India who are under constant attack.
The L.A. Times reported on the “extravagant three-day state visit to Washington” while his Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party has “advanced policies that discriminate against Muslims, Christians and other religious minorities and limit freedom of speech and the press.”
Before I get to Modi’s heinous record, I want to point out that principally no foreign “leader” should be given the chance to address the U.S. Congress in such a manner. It amazes me how both criminal parties can complain about foreign influence in American politics then applaud foreign “leaders” given such a platform to address them.
The same goes at the state level, such as the disgraceful Texas GOP allowing the criminal clown Boris Johnson to spew lies in support of the Ukrainian oligarch:
Foreign Tyrant Boris Johnson Visits Texas to Drum Up GOP Support for Ukrainian Nazis
Forgive me if this one sounds like a rant, but it’s hard to not rant when you understand how disgraceful and disgusting this news story is. Former U.K. dictatorial hypocrite thug Boris Johnson was in Texas this week, a trip funded certainly with our tax dollars as I’ll show later, to shore up Republican support for Ukrainian oligarch and
Now, back to Modi.
Prior to becoming India’s PM in 2014, Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat between 2001 and 2014. In that role, he not only pulled back police protection from non-Hindus, primarily Muslims, but also encouraged violent Hindu rioters in 2002 leading to thousands of deaths.
Modi’s role in encouraging the murder of thousands of Indians led to him being banned from traveling to America by the U.S. State Department for his “severe violations of religious freedom” and for being “responsible for or directly carried out, at any time, particularly severe violations of religious freedom.” That ban lasted for nearly a decade.
Let’s look at what life is like for Christians under Modi’s authoritarian thumb. India has consistently moved up the list for nation’s where Christian persecution is the greatest since Modi became PM, according to a 2017 report from The Guardian.
“India experienced an escalation of attacks on its Christian minority in 2016, usually led by Hindu nationalists acting largely with impunity. Just over 2% of the country’s population is Christian, and nearly 80% of Indians are Hindu.
There was also an increase in Christian persecution across the region ‘driven by extreme religious nationalism, which is often tacitly condoned – and sometimes actively encouraged – by local and national governments,’ said Lisa Pearce, of Open Doors UK & Ireland.
The watchdog estimated that a church was burnt down or a cleric beaten on average 10 times a week in India in the year to 31 October 2016, a threefold increase on the previous year.
‘There is a clear pattern of rising religious intolerance across the Indian sub-continent, which affects many millions of Christians,’ said Pearce.
‘Religious nationalists attempt to forcibly convert people to the dominant faith of their nation, often turning to violence when community discrimination and non-violent oppression do not succeed in imposing their religious beliefs on minority Christians.
‘These Christians are often from the lower castes, such as the Dalits in India who face huge socioeconomic problems. They are an easy target for extreme nationalists.’”
In May of this year, CBN News spoke to David Curry of Global Christian Relief who detailed how dozens of Christian churches were destroyed in less than a month in India leading to the deaths of several Christians and the displacement of thousands of others. This terrorism against Christians is outright “encouraged” by Modi’s government, Curry said.
In 2020, CBN News reported on five Christians being killed in four separate Indian states specifically because they wouldn’t renounce their faith in Jesus Christ.
Not only are the Hindu nationalists given free reign to terrorize non-Hindus, they are able to brag about their attacks publicly. That’s what Curry recently told Breitbart:
“Since 2014 when the BJP Party, Prime Minister Modi’s party, took over, there’s been a 300% jump in reported attacks on Christians and Christian churches. It’s just been this massive escalation. That’s because he has a nationalistic agenda which is, in very simple terms, suggesting that Christians aren’t real Indians because you have to be Hindu to be a real Indian citizen….
The police, the local police, don’t protect the Christian churches and in some ways aid and abet the rioters. So, the bigger systemic problem is, why does the central government allow this to happen? Why do local municipalities and policemen allow these attacks against churches and Christians and facilitate it?
Many of the videos we get are being posted by the rioters themselves. They’re not even afraid to post and call out the attacks on the churches on social media because there are no repercussions.”
Republican Silence Deafening
Modi’s speech to Congress did lead to at least three members of Congress boycotting the speech, and they weren’t Republicans. It was three members of the leftist “Squad” who boycotted it, likely due to the persecution of Muslims in India. And some in the GOP attacked them for it.
I say good for the “Squad” for standing up for the Muslims being persecuted. Where are the Republicans, who love to use Christianity as a political tool, standing up for the Christians in India?
This story gets put into some perspective when you consider the pathetic political snake Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) who on his own decided to attack Uganda for having the audacity to want to criminalize “aggravated homosexuality,” which I previously wrote about:
Pride Month Part III: America Exporting Sinful ‘Values’ Around the World
“For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low.”—Isaiah 2:12 In Part I, I wrote about how the celebration of sin during Pride Month is a reminder that our society is near collapse. In
Politico reported that the Ugandan bill “doesn’t criminalize those who identify as LGBTQ,” but it does offer the death penalty for “aggravated homosexuality” which includes rape of “minors and other categories of vulnerable people.”
Cruz called it “an abomination” to give the death penalty for the abominable act of sodomizing and raping children. He stated:
“This Uganda law is horrific & wrong. Any law criminalizing homosexuality or imposing the death penalty for ‘aggravated homosexuality’ is grotesque & an abomination. ALL civilized nations should join together in condemning this human rights abuse.”
Biden’s Secretary of State Antony Blinken, according to Life Site News, declared that America will develop mechanisms to support the rights of LGBTQI+ individuals in Uganda and to promote accountability for Ugandan officials and other individuals responsible for, or complicit in, abusing their human rights.” The Trump regime’s Richard Grennell, the first openly sodomite presidential advisor, accused Biden of not going far enough to protect gay child rapists.
It should be noted that Blinken, Cruz and Grennell have said nothing about the 42 Christians killed in Uganda by likely Muslim terrorist about a week ago.
So, Cruz has said nothing about the very real persecution of Christians going on India nor the Christians murdered in Uganda by terrorists. But he was ready to pounce and stick his nose into the internal affairs of Uganda, a country whose government seems to be seeking God’s law and not mans, over perceived potential persecution of sodomites pushed by the lying media.
I think Cruz should answer to this, and I reached out on Friday morning to all seven of his Texas offices in hopes that one of them will get a response from him regarding questions related to Modi’s visit. My questions to Cruz:
What are Sen. Cruz’s overall thoughts on the trip?
Is Sen. Cruz aware of the ongoing persecution of Christians in India?
Considering Sen. Cruz took time on his own to condemn Uganda for perceived potential persecution of homosexuals, why hasn’t he made a statement about the real persecution of Christians going on in India especially considering Modi’s visit?
I haven’t received a response but will provide his responses if Cruz decides to answer to Americans. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely as they answer to the corporations, bureaucrats and foreign “leaders” who own our government.
But, Cruz’s response is probably predictable. He gave the standard political snake statements twice in the past when Modi visited Texas in 2019 and addressed the U.S. Congress in 2016. Cruz was just so grateful that this persecutor of Christians visited.
In 2019, Cruz stated:
“Like-minded democracies should stand together for the principles of human rights, free markets, and fair commerce. India has shown its commitment to these principles, and Modi’s visit to Texas is a step toward growing this much-needed partnership. I am proud to welcome him to my hometown this weekend and to celebrate our shared values and goals. Texas is blessed to have a vibrant Indian-American community, with a population of more than 500,000. I am excited for the opportunities that lay ahead for Texas, for India, and for the deepening ties between our nations.”
In 2016, Cruz stated:
“It is a pleasure to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the U.S. Congress today, and I welcome this opportunity to bring our two democracies even closer. As the Indian economy continues to liberalize and grow, it lights the way for its neighbors toward a better future for the Asia-Pacific region. India’s status as a rising power will only grow stronger as it continues to pursue political reform and economic liberalization. America welcomes this development, as does Texas, which is home to hundreds of thousands of Indian-Americans and hosts a remarkable range of Indian companies and investors. I look forward to strengthening our strategic economic and security relationships in the years to come.”
